October is truly my favorite month. The excitement of Fall along with cool weather, Halloween, and all the awesome fall décor are just some of the reasons October is great. It also marks the start of endless holiday rush – Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas!

I thought I would kick off Halloween here on the blog by sharing some awesome ideas I have seen throughout Blog Land! This will be followed up by some awesome guest posts, crafts, giveaways, and tutorials throughout the month!

Tea Party in Wonderland

My niece, Reagan, turns 7 in a few days and we celebrated over the weekend! On Saturday, my sister-in-law had an amazing Tea Party in Wonderland birthday party for her! When I say the party was amazing I really mean AMAZING! My sister-in-law, April, always has the best birthday parties and I can never wait to see what she comes up with! Heck.. they are already planning for next year! They (April, my mother-in-law, and aunt-in-law… you get my point!) plan all year long and then stay up super late the night before finishing things up. This year they were up into the wee hours of the morning finishing the Alice dress my niece wore to the party.

As everyone arrived the girls grabbed their tea hats, and the boys grabbed their bow ties and top hats.

There were decorations everywhere. The party was at a local park which April picked because it had a few Wonderland themed items.

There is the Birthday Girl! Happy 7th Birthday Alice… I mean Reagan!

The Cheshire Cat even made an appearance!

Of course.. what is a tea party without sweets, tea sandwiches, tea cups and the oh so popular sugar cubes!

Of course – you cannot have a tea party without a game of croquet and a turn at the piñata!

Then I took pictures of all of the kids near the fountain. They came out SO good! I plan on printing and framing the one of my little man! I must say that I surprised myself with my photography skills.

At the end of the party all of the kids got to fill their favor boxes with goodies from the ‘Queen of Hearts’ table.

Wasn’t this amazing? Great job once again April!

Excited for an Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

My niece will be 7 on the 29th. This weekend we are going to her Alice in Wonderland Tea Party to celebrate! I am so excited to see the wonderful ideas my sister-in-law, April, comes up with! She is super-duper creative!!

April posted this piñata she made on her Facebook earlier today… didn’t it turn out awesome?

I also sent her all of the Wonderland printables from my shop a few weeks ago. I told her to use whatever she wanted.

Then I visited her ‘Tea Party Ideas’ board on Pinterest to see what kind of ideas she has going on!

I think I am more excited to see what she comes up with than the kids are! I can’t wait to share the pictures with you next week!

Birthday Party Inspirations–Pinterest

I have been a crazy busy person this month! I may have bit off more than I can chew… but I’ll never admit it!

Since I have been spending quite a bit of time preparing Halloween themed posts for October – my posts have been sparse. No worries – come October you won’t be disappointed!

I decided I wanted to stop in and share some awesome parties I have seen around Pinterest.

My neice is having an Alice in Wonderland party next week and I cannot wait to share the pictures and clever decorations my sister-in-law comes up with!

Enjoy,

Cupcakes {Pinterest Style}

So I am more than addicted to Pinterest! Every time I have an extra minute I make my way to Pinterest and quickly pin a few things that catch my eye. Lately I have found some over the top, make me drool, almost convinced me to bake CUPCAKES!
