Shop Notes

I whipped a few box pouches up a few weeks ago. I gave one to my mom for a cousin and it felt wrong to not have a few on hand!

Luckily, they are simple to make! Once I figured out how, that is. Since I don't have a serger, I added a little bias tape to clean up my exposed edges. Someday, I will have a serger though!

Like August? It's my birthday soon, after all!

Happy Monday! You can find the box pouches here!

I Picked a Theme – Farm Picnic

Mason is going to be 2 on July 1st. I have three months to prepare for the party. Mike and I decided on a ‘Farm Picnic’ theme. I wanted to have some animals brought to the house for a petting zoo – but Mike wants a bounce house. Who will win?

I’ve been pinning away on pinterest and marking favorites on ETSY. Here is what I have as ideas and inspirations so far -

Easter Finds

Easter is in exactly one month. I don’t know about you, but I’m hosting Easter brunch. I have the menu done (which I will share soon!), and have been searching for fun Easter decorations and table settings. Thanks to ETSY and Pinterest I bring you some my Easter finds and inspirations!

I found these on Pinterest from the Pure Joy Events blog. Simple and affordable!

You can purchase the cupcake liners at Cupcake Social on Etsy.

Assorted Pretty Pastel Tulip Cupcake Liners (45)

Then there are these place cards from Holiday Crafts and Creations. I know my Goodwill always has an abundance of tea cups!

I made this Easter printable for a 5x7 frame I had sitting around. I’m going to place it on my entryway shelf. Click HERE to get the printable version for yourself!

I saved the best for last! I’m in love with this fake grass table runner at That’s My Letter! I’m doing this on my table FOR SURE!

Enjoy!

I’m linking my printable up at Tip Junkie and Tatertots and Jello!

Etsy Party

My Etsy party this weekend was a small scale success. I only had 4 people come over and I anticipated a few more than that but I still made some Christmas money and had a good time. Jacob didn't get a nap so he was screamier than usual. Luckily, there were only tears and no hitting.

Some potholders made with Insul-bright to protect your hands. In other news, I sold them.

Box pouch. My mom calls them shave kits. I would use it for knitting projects.

Re-usable snack bags. I lined them with PUL so you just wipe them out. This way, you can slice an apple, peel an orange or fill it with carrots and not worry about the mess. I think these will make great gifts for kids. I bet they won't think so though!

Shop Notes

I made this circle scarf out of some super soft jersey I got at JoAnn's. I can't get the true color of the purple, but this is pretty close.
This is a flax and lavender filled eye sachet. I love the feeling of flax and it smells amazing.

Potholders! I wasn't sure how to bind them so I used bias tape and it worked out quite well. I have a few more I need to finish, hopefully this week.

You can see the other things I've listed here.

The Markus!

Jayden used to call the circus the markus. We thought she meant market so that's what we call the Farmer's market now.
This is where my piles of fabric went.
10 pretty new Market Bags, all ready to sell.
I might list a few on Etsy, but I'm going to try and sell them at the local U-Pick farm. The owner is a longtime friend of my family, so hopefully he's willing to let me leave a few there.

I don't think I could resist a few of these to take with me when I went apple picking!

Shop Notes

I've been a little bit busy, between working, swim lessons, and making things for my Etsy shop. Here are a few things I've recently listed.
Crayons Rolls. Perfect for back to school!
Market bags for trips to the Farmer's Market. I got a huge bunch of basil this week and finally learned how to make pesto.
Decorative pillows with minky backing. I've not let JBelle see these or I would never get to list them. She loves the minky fabric!
