So, as many of you know, I'm on the move this week. We're traveling and seeing lots of people.
That's all well and good, but when you're potty training twins, it makes things very interesting sucky hard difficult downright annoying smelly.
I have a couple of questions.
- When the Crazies are swimming in a pool...whether it is G.G.'s pool in her backyard or the blowup pool that Papa got for them, is it okay for them to just randomly pee? I keep trying
screamingto get them to use the potty that I've so thoughtfully brought outside for them, but they're just peeing on patios and decks and telling me such as they pee! WTF??? I don't know what to do b/c at least they're telling me, but they're not actually using the potty. BTW, we're not having this issue inside...they're only doing it outside. It's like Wild Kingdom. - Is it, or is it not, considered child abuse to violently splash them with water, scream at them to rinse it off, or turn the hose on them when they pee outside? After all, I don't want to be stepping in their Piddle Puddles!
- All of you blog friends and many friends in real life told me to always have a potty with me in these early stages. I was told to keep it in my trunk and I have been diligent about it. That potty has gone with me to the mall, the farm, on long trips, on short trips, and everywhere in between. Today is the first time it's actually been used though. We drove out to Papa's house and decided to get Carvel (yum) b/c we were early. After Carvel, even though she had a Pull-up on (that's right...I was afraid that they'd pee themselves while sleeping during the long car ride when I knew they'd nap...napping pee-ers make me nervous...no control)...ANYWAY, Hailey had to go potty. So, I promptly threw Matt in the back seat to he could "watch" (what a weirdo) and plopped her right on the potty in my trunk. She went while happily singing "I peeing! I peeing on the potty!!"...here's my dilemma...what do I do with the pee??? I am NOT keeping that pee in my car when I have to drive over some very unsavory roads. I am NOT going to be that weird lady whose car vaguely smells of pee every time you get in it. I will NOT do that. However, as I naturally turned to empty our pot into some grass/dirt across the parking lot, I saw some dude looking at me. Surely, I couldn't do that while someone was watching, right? Nope, I decided to buckle Hailey in her seat instead. Then I went around to the back of the car again, but he still had his eye on me. So, I loudly said, "I know what I'll do!" very authoritatively and slammed the trunk shut. Then I pretended to do something VERY important at the wheel while he pulled out of his parking space. I waited until he was out of sight and then ran that pee across the damn parking lot. That is GROSS!!! I am getting rid of that as soon as possible. I will not purposefully drive around with pee in my car...you can quote me on that.
- Carvel is delicious...yes, this has nothing to do with peepee etiquette, but it had to be said.
So, answer my question you peepee experts!
BTW, love you all...sorry I'm sucking at reading blogs...I'm also shaking a bit from not being near my computer, so we're all suffering, right? LOL
